Më 14 tetor 1929 në fshatin Zym në mes të Gjakovës dhe Prizrenit, vritet nga policia e fshehtë serbe, kleriku, mësuesi, studiuesi i gjithanshëm, shkencëtari i shquar Shtjefën Konstantin Gjeçov Kryeziu i njohur si Shtjefën Gjeçovi, autori i veprës monumentale “Kanuni i Lekë Dukagjinit”, botuar pas vdekjes së tij në vitin 1933, një përmbledhje e rregullave të së drejtës zakonore dhe dokeve të popullit shqiptar. On October 14, 1929, in the village of Zym, between Gjakova and Prizren, was killed by the Serbian secret police, the clergyman, teacher, all-round scholar, prominent scientist Shtjefën Konstantin Gjeçov Kryeziu known as Shtjefën Gjeçovi, the author of the monumental work “The Code of Lekë Dukagjini”, published posthumously in 1933, a summary of the rules of customary law and customs of the Albanian people.
