Nga kontrolli u v\u00ebrejt nj\u00eb \u00e7arje n\u00eb hambarin nr.5, t\u00eb cilin ekuipazhi e mbylli p\u00ebrkoh\u00ebsisht duke vazhduar udh\u00ebtimin drejt Durr\u00ebsit. Pas nj\u00eb kontrolli t\u00eb n\u00ebnujsh\u00ebm n\u00eb Durr\u00ebs, u v\u00ebrejt\u00ebn kat\u00ebr g\u00ebrvishje t\u00eb m\u00ebdha (shirita paralel) n\u00eb bord t\u00eb majt\u00eb. Sipas informacineve anija ishte p\u00ebrplasur me n\u00ebndet\u00ebsen britanike \u201cRainbow\u201d (N-16), e cila gjat\u00eb manovrimit p\u00ebr t\u00eb goditur me silur\u00eb, ishte afruar aq shum\u00eb, sa q\u00eb \u00e7oi n\u00eb p\u00ebrlasje dhe n\u00eb mbytjen e n\u00ebndet\u00ebses, ku humb\u00ebn jet\u00ebn gjith\u00eb ekuipazhi prej 56 vetash. <\/p>\n<p>Dhe reagimi britanik ishte i menj\u00ebhersh\u00ebm; n\u00eb 9 tetor SS \u201cAntonietta Costa\u201d bashk\u00eb me velier\u00ebn V-36 \u201cMaria Grazia\u201d, t\u00eb shoq\u00ebruar nga kryq\u00ebzori italian \u201cRamb III\u201d u nis\u00ebn nga Durr\u00ebsi p\u00ebr n\u00eb Bari. T\u00eb ndjekur nga n\u00ebndet\u00ebsja britanike \u201cRegent\u201d (N-41), n\u00eb or\u00ebn 05:37, piroskafi dhe veliera u godit\u00ebn me silur\u00eb n\u00eb distanc\u00ebn rreth 21 milje nga Durr\u00ebsi. Nga shp\u00ebrthimi, veliera u mbyt (personeli u imbarkua tek \u201cRamb III\u201d), kurse SS u d\u00ebmtua r\u00ebnd\u00eb, nj\u00eb marinar vdiq dhe tre u plagos\u00ebn, nd\u00ebrkoh\u00eb edhe n\u00ebndet\u00ebsja u largua nga vend ngjarja e d\u00ebmtuar.  Edhe n\u00ebndet\u00ebsja britanike \u201cRegent\u201d (N-41) do t\u00eb mbytjej me t\u00eb gjithe ekuipazhin m\u00eb 18 prill 1943.<\/p>\n<p>Pas aksidentit, u mendua se anija mund t\u00eb shp\u00ebtohej duke u t\u00ebrhequr nga  rimorkiarori italian \u201cVetiska Sant\u2019 Andrea\u201d drejt Durr\u00ebsit. Ekuipazhi u evakua tek\u201c Ramb III\u201d, me p\u00ebrjashtim t\u00eb disa personave q\u00eb q\u00ebndruan n\u00eb bord, p\u00ebr ndihm\u00eb gjat\u00eb t\u00ebrheqies s\u00eb anijes. Por ajo nuk mundi ta arrinte Durr\u00ebsin. Prej sasis\u00eb s\u00eb ujit q\u00eb futej, n\u00eb dat\u00ebn 9 tetor, n\u00eb or\u00ebn 10:45, anija u mbyt 1-milje n\u00eb per\u00ebndim t\u00eb portit t\u00ebDurr\u00ebsit, n\u00eb thell\u00ebsin\u00eb 14 m, pran\u00eb cekin\u00ebs s\u00eb Talbotit.<\/p>\n<p>SS \u201cAntonietta Costa\u201d ishte anije p\u00ebr transport mallrash nd\u00ebrtuar n\u00eb vitin 1910, n\u00eb Genova Itali, me kapacitet bart\u00ebs 5,900 t, p\u00ebrmasa 136.6&#215;16.6&#215;8.47m dhe shpejt\u00ebsi 11 milje\/or\u00eb. Gjat\u00eb aktivitetit t\u00eb saj lundrimor, p\u00ebr kuriozitet kjo anije n\u00eb janar 1917 \u00ebsht\u00eb p\u00ebr plasur me nj\u00eb anije angleze n\u00eb Capo Verde, Afrik\u00eb; n\u00eb dhjetor 1917 \u00ebsht\u00eb d\u00ebmtuar pas goditjes me silur\u00eb nga ND \u201cUB-49\u201d, nd\u00ebrsa n\u00eb dhjetor 1920, gjat\u00eb lundrimit ka b\u00ebr\u00eb aksident duke u p\u00ebrplasur me nj\u00eb anije australiane, ku n\u00eb t\u00eb gjitha rastet \u00ebsht\u00eb riparuar, duke arritur n\u00eb ngjarjen fatale t\u00eb dat\u00ebs 9 tetor 1940.  <\/p>\n<p>PS.
